If you’re like most people, you probably have an Android phone and a Fire TV. And if you do, you know how to mirror your screen on the Amazon Fire TV. But what if you don’t have an Android phone or Fire TV? What if you just want to mirror your screen on a computer? That’s where the Mirror app comes in. Mirror is a free app that lets you mirror your screen on any computer or device. You can also use Mirror to mirror your screen on a phone, tablet, or even a smart TV. To use Mirror, first open the Mirror app and sign in with your Amazon account. Then choose which device you want to mirror your screen on: an Android phone or Fire TV, a computer, or even a smart TV. Once you’ve chosen which device, click the “Mirror” button at the bottom of the main window. The next window will show all of your devices that are connected to the Amazon cloud: devices like phones and tablets, computers, and smart TVs. You’ll see which devices aremirroring which screens and when they’re donemirroring. If there’s something wrong with one of those devices—like an error message—you’ll see that right away in the mirroring window. To stopMirroring or change some of its settings, open the Mirror app again and sign in with your Amazon account. Then choose which device you want to mirror your screen on: an Android phone or Fire TV, a computer, or even a smart TV again. Click “Mirror” again at the bottom of the main window and select how many screens (if any) should be mirrored at once (you can also choose “None”).

In the menu that appears, select “Mirroring.”

On Android, open the “Settings” app and select “Bluetooth & Device Connection.”

Select “Connection Preferences.”

Open the “Cast” option.

Tap the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner and toggle the option for “Enable Wireless display.”

The text “Connected” will appear under your Fire TV’s name.

Your Android device’s screen will appear in portrait mode if the orientation lock is enabled. Open the Quick Settings menu and look for the orientation lock option, which is sometimes titled “Auto-rotate.” If it’s enabled, tap the button to disable it.
