If you want to keep your iPhone number hidden from other people’s caller ID, there are a few different ways to go about it. The first option is to turn off the phone’s display of the caller ID. This can be done by going into Settings and selecting “Privacy” then “Display Name & Number.” You can also turn this feature off completely by going into Settings and selecting “General” then “Phone Number.” The second option is to change your phone number. This can be done by visiting a service like Google Voice or Vonage and signing up for a new number. Once you have your new number, you’ll need to set up your iPhone so that it recognizes it as your phone number. To do this, open Settings and select “Phone,” then tap on the “Number” tab. Next, enter in your new number and tap on the “Save” button. The final option is to use a virtual private network (VPN) service. A VPN service will encrypt all of your traffic so that no one, including Apple, can see what websites you’re visiting or what apps you’re using. To use a VPN, first sign up for an account and download the appropriate app onto your iPhone. Once you have the app installed, open it and click on the “Settings” icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen. From here, select “VPN” and enter in your VPN provider’s login information. Next, select either “Private Mode” or “Public Mode.” Private Mode will encrypt all of your traffic while Public Mode will allow anyone on the same network as you to see what you’re looking at (although they won’t be able to see what you’re typing or clicking). ..

There are plenty of reasons to not want your phone number showing up when you call someone else. Maybe you just don’t like giving it out to strangers, or perhaps you don’t want the person you’re calling realizing you’re ringing from a foreign number.

If you have an iPhone, you can block your number from showing up on other people’s caller ID with a simple settings toggle.

First, go to to Settings > Phone and select Show My Caller ID.

Toggle the switch next to Show My Caller ID off.

To turn Caller ID back on again, just come back here and toggle the switch on.

Note that blocking caller ID is a carrier feature. In theory, your carrier might not support it (although we haven’t been able to find one who doesn’t). If the setting is not there, that’s probably why.
