Twitter is a social media platform that allows users to communicate with each other directly. This means that you can’t just send someone a message and expect them to respond. You need to allow direct messaging from specific users in order for them to be able to respond. To allow direct messaging from specific users on Twitter, you first need to create a Twitter account for each of the people you want to allow direct messaging from. Then, set up your Twitter settings so that messages from these specific users are allowed. Next, add the following lines to your @Twitter account:
- Allow direct messages from: @username
- Do not allow messages from: nobody
By default, only people you follow can send you direct messages on Twitter. This is just one of the ways Twitter tries to keep harassment to a minimum. If you want your DMs to be open to anyone, however, you’ve got to enable a setting.
